Premiums are the easiest number to compare and the least useful one on its own. I look at how a plan behaves across a normal year and a difficult one, factor in your doctors and prescriptions, and narrow things down to the options that genuinely make sense for you.

Plans quietly change their terms, costs, and provider networks each year. Before renewal I go through what has shifted, explain what it means for you specifically, and help you decide whether to move or stay. Sometimes the right answer is to change nothing, and I will say so.
